Makeup Artistry: Creating Character for Stage and Screen

This class should give you a better understanding of the wide scope of skills that a production makeup artist (a makeup artist whose professional focus is stage, film, television performance) must possess… and how they are applied to helping the actors create their characters and the director tell the story.  In theater, sometimes a makeup artist (MUA for short) may be required to design the makeup, but usually it is applied by the actors themselves. On any film that has live actors you should ideally have a MUA present… even on small film shoots. This workshop will clarify how a makeup artist can contribute significant value to your production as well as how to solve make-up issues on your own.
