Alistair Cook invites you to improvise and build your own improv playbook for the classroom. In this fun, hands on workshop participants will learn basic improvisation warm ups, target training exercises, and how to set up your schools own improvisation tournament (or non competitive performance).
Be sure to bring your questions about ALL FORMS of improvisation. Alistair looks forward to answering as many as he can during the workshops.

Alistair has had the great opportunity to work and perform with the best in improvisation. In addition to producing large-scale projects for his hometown crowds, he has enjoyed working with countless improvisers both young and old, performing and instructing at festivals, and consulting and directing for theatre companies across Europe, the USA, Australia, and Canada.
A founder of Vancouver’s Instant Theatre Company, Instant Studios, The Vancouver International Improv Festival, The Improvcamp, Next Act Festival, and ImprovU, Alistair has produced hundreds of fun educational programs for adults and young people.
Alistair recently retired from his work with the Canadian Improv Games as National and Regional Director to pursue new projects. Alistair started working with the CIG in 1993, helping guide the organzation artistically for the majority of his tenure.
Alistair currently manages the legendary Havana Theatre on Commercial Drive and goes for bike rides with his family.
